I’ve been playing around with swirls, curls and doodles. I
came up with arrow and with it came the concept of doing a “You Are Here”
kind of tag… and so from that comes this template. I hope you like it.
Remember… Everything on my blog is free to use and share
as you wish. Change whatever you want. All I ask is that you don’t claim it
as your own, and please leave my Designed by Layer in tact. Other than that…

I have no idea why I seem to make more templates than
anything else. Believe it or not, this started as a frame and then ended up
as a template. I never know where I am going until I get there.
In my sample above, I rotated the two side frames, so the
sample is slightly different than the actual template for that reason as well
as the color change to all the middle frames. I just wanted to show that you
can use variations of the pieces.

The template itself has 10 individual layers to work with.
This way you can make changes to each piece as you wish.
As always… my stuff is always FTU (Free to use). I have no
problem with you sharing, all I ask is that you don’t
claim it as your own and please leave my “Designed By” layer in tact so that
others can visit my blog. Fair enough right?

I actually made this tag first. I took my dog Zoey to the lake on the old Air Force Base and got some
amazing shots. So I was going to use this as my sample, but I realized I did
a lot of changing to the template and it didn’t look like the sample so much.
So I decided to make the Caron Vinson tag as well. But I have to be honest, I am very partial to the one of my baby. J

I dunno... I wanted to make something new, but I kind of don't think this feels really new. I seem to always lean to lace and when it's black lace I gotta go red. I had a different idea, but settled on this. So... here you go! Have fun with it and change whatever etc.

 This is what the template looks like (without the designed by layer). This template has 9 workable layers for you to play around with. I like to keep things on separate layers to give you the chance to change colors and textures etc. I always hated it when the ribbons had the screws or staples merged because if I changed the ribbon color it would change the screw color too. So that's why I keep it separate for you. Customize! I use Paint Shop Pro 9.0 and this shows you what I do to change color of the layers. It's so easy and gives you so many choices. |

I’ve been back at it trying to be creative again. This one
started out to be just a frame, but I decided to add some stuff to it and
call it a template. This template has a lot of options to it that you can’t
really tell from looking at the sample.

really play around with it and give it different looks. You can also take
away the St, Patrick’s elements and you can create a fun frame. Just play around with it... you can't really mess it up. I hope you like the frame turned template. :)

I have been out of the loop on creating for quite awhile
now. I have tried a few times to dust off my graphics and give it a go but I
just couldn’t seem to do anything I liked. It was making me crazy. I have a
ton of things I started but ended up walking away from. Maybe one day I will
look at them with fresh eyes and want to finish them.
None of my templates are grandly unique, but I personally like simple. So here is a new template for you to play with. | |

It's been quite awhile since I have done any creating and sharing. This summer has been filled with activities, company, campfires and good times. Today though, I had the urge and I swore I wasn't going to rest until I uploaded something! I feel pretty rusty. The template wasn't so much a problem... but making a tag... I just couldn't figure out what colors or patterns I wanted. So I went with a variety. Anyway... I hope you can find some use for it. So here it is :

I have been trying to decide what I wanted to make. Lately
things have been kind of dark around here. Finding out my favorite Uncle has
cancer, my car being dead for almost 5 months now after repeated attempts to
get it working. My Beagle is being a giant pain in the butt etc, etc. My style of creations are usually frilly, lace, flowers,
doodles and so on. I just couldn’t get my creative juices flowing. Until I
decided to go outside of my comfort zone and make something a little on the
dark side. Once I decided to go down that path… things just fell into place.
So I give you my latest template which I call “Darkness Beauty”. I hope you
like it.

So I started to play around with some stuff. I found this great frame thing in a font pack. I thought it would be really cool to use. But once I got it on canvas and sized up... It was distorted and hard to work with. So I made my own from scratch and changed it up. At least it inspired me and from scratch is more fun anyway. :)
Below is how the template will look. There are 6 workable layers. I included some paper backgrounds. The great thing (I think) about this template is that you can just colorize the pieces to match the theme you are going for. To make it easier on you.... all you have to do in PSP is : ADJUST - HUE AND SATURATION - COLORIZE Then play around with the sliders, or just use the dice. The possibilities are endless! |

So the other day I was in a creative mood. I wanted to
make a new template. I started creating and stopped to find a font viewing
program. Nexus seemed to have had great reviews and it was free. I found a
link to download at CNET where I often download stuff. Well once it was
installed... my computer shut down and failed to work anymore. I got a HORRIBLE
VIRUS!!! Worst one I ever had to deal with really. What annoys me most... is
that I have current subscriptions to McAfee virus protection AND a Malware
program.. and yet it slipped past them both. Sometimes I wonder if it's even
worth the money? Anyway... I had to reformat my whole PC. Thankfully I am PC
literate enough to be able to do this on my own.
Note : NEXUS was not the problem. I found their official website and downloaded the program directly from them and it has been working fine. It's a great program. (Direct link : http://www.xiles.net/nexusfont/) SO... I am back. Cleaned out the PC completely.. re-installed everything and it went much quicker than I expected... so I got back to creating. This was the template I started that day... and I finally got to finish it. I hope you like it. |

This template comes in 8 workable layers. The polka dots
have no background to them, so you are free to color them or fill them with
any pattern you want, or just not use that layer. The flower doodle petals are a separate
layer as well, so you can do the same. Colorize or pattern fill in the
flower, or not use the fill layer at all. Options! (One of my favorite
words).

I was playing around in Paint Shop Pro and I found this cool flame font. I thought it might work well in a template. I actually like it. I think it can be played with and come up with something fun. Template comes with six workable layers that you can move around to your liking.
